Julian King was obsessed with movies from a young age and followed his heart to NYU Film School. There he met Matt D’elia and after graduating, the two collaborated on the feature-length American Animal, which Julian produced and shot. Julian next directed The Real Thing, a short documentary about Bodie Stroud’s career-defining restoration of a 1969 Mustang, using an ultra-rare engine built for Mario Andretti’s CanAm series race car. The film, which King also shot, was an instant viral sensation and has been viewed online more than a million times. Recent commercial work includes a series of short doc films on Ford's brand new 2015 Mustang, which he co-directed with Cassidy Gearhart, as well as several new installments in Lincoln’s on-going Driven to Give campaign. Julian is currently in the midst of a long-term documentary project set in the world of MMA fighters.
