Galen Summer

Galen Summer grew up in rural Massachusetts where he won his first award for filmmaking at the age of twelve with his variety show featuring clay-animated aliens doing sped-up kung fu. After graduating from Boston University, he began directing whatever came his way: corporate videos for a cowboy clothing company, music videos for Christian rap acts, and a short comedy about suicide. Upon settling in NYC, he was approached to direct Lessons from a Tailor, a short documentary about renowned Brooklyn-based clothing manufacturer Martin Greenfield. His recent commercial work includes five short documentaries for Downy and a three spot broadcast campaign for Keurig. When he’s not directing commercials and brand films, Galen is developing longer-form projects including a new documentary feature set in the world of Hollywood stuntmen and women.
