Pursuing a fascination with photography and art, Fatima entered Pasadena’s prestigious Art Centre of Design where her work quickly gained attention.
While still a student, a collaborative relationship propelled her almost overnight to the front echelons of the advertising world. Fatima worked on highly acclaimed campaigns for Smirnoff, Audi, Levi’s, Vauxhall and Coke as well as a series of groundbreaking iconic promos for acts like REM, Deep Forest and Madonna.
Following her relocation to the UK, Fatima began directing in her own right. That same year she was featured in Saatchi’s “New Directors Showcase” at Cannes. Fatima has bee on the judging panel at D&AD and BTAA.
Fatima has shot commercials for clients as varied as Coca-Cola, MTV, Olay Mascara, Polo Smoothies, Kellogg’s, Volkswagen, Peugeot, Umbro and NFU Mutual Insurance. Her work has won awards at Cannes and BTAA. She was featured in US magazine “Creativity” as one of six female directors to look out for.
Fatima’s creation of a unique blend of humanity and aestheticism in her work has seen her carve out a reputation as a director of cinematic elegance, sensuality and grace.
