Keith Bearden is an award-winning writer and filmmaker. His films have won awards at top film festivals worldwide, exhibited at museums and galleries, been broadcast on PBS in the US, Canal + in Europe and Africa, and the CBC in Canada. He has been awarded a NYFA Scholarship, a Jerome Foundation Media Arts Fellowship, and is a 2008 Guggenheim Fellow in Film. His short film THE RAFTMAN’S RAZOR is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. His first feature film, Meet Monica Velour, starring Kim Cattrall and Brian Dennehy, is currently in post-production.
His work directing commercials in Europe has won him awards both there and the US, including a First Boards award, Gold Medal at the prestigious Le Grand Prix Stratégies in Paris and the Silver Lion at Cannes for his Brandt “Apartment Sharing” ad. More recently he has directed commercials for Renault, INPES (anti-smoking) and a couple of spots through AMV London for Doritos.
