British Filmmaker Osbert Parker's short "Film Noir" made its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006 as part of the festival's official short film competition. The film when still incomplete in 2005 was nominated for a BAFTA and British Animation Award for best short animated film.
Parker has his hands and eyes on every way a film can be manipulated to tell a story. From photographic animation to computer-generated imagery, live action production to stop frame animation.
Parker worked at Quentin Tarantino's production company "A Band Apart" as their first commercial director in 1995 and as Steve Baron's second unit director on Hallmark's feature length "Arabian Nights". In 2005 he was selected by writer/director Richard Curtis as one of the directors to create a special animated MAKE POVERTY HISTORY film.
In addition Parker has directed a string of commercials for clients such as Nike, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Gatorade with Michael Jordan, Kinko's, World Wild Life Fund and advertising agencies such as DMB&B/St Louis, Wieden & Kennedy/Portland, CAA, JWT/NY and Ogilvy and Mather.
Parker is currently making his short film, "Head Over Heels" for the Animate! commission funded by Channel Four and Arts Council England, he is also busy shooting his first commercial with Annex Films through BMB.
