Growing up in a small town in Iceland, Agust Baldursson has encountered more than his share of terrible weather. Interestingly he has managed to turn the elements into one of his visual strengths. His work reveals signature breathtaking exteriors - roads, cars, mountain slopes, ice fields - mixed with scenarios that are surprisingly personal, moving and intimate. As a result his work is frequently described as "intriguing short stories driven by amazing visuals".
Baldursson took the proverbial road less travelled (for Icelandic kids), studying photo and film at several American colleges including Columbia University. After graduation he returned to Iceland and founded Frost Film, which soon became Iceland's leading TV commercial production company.
Agust is well regarded internationally for his versatility across exteriors, effects, children, performance and visuals.
