To launch our new website, the Annex Marketing team decided to hit the town with a popcorn run. Jack and Julia hired the biggest van possible and asked David to drive us around. Our first stop...to get the popcorn. Jack has connections in the pop world, and the dealer is based in Hackney. The little Turkish lady was cursing us when we got there. She almost looked like corn after making 18 HUGE bags.

The journey began....11h30

First stop was Mother – we were welcomed by the friendly receptionists and proceeded to decorate their kitchen area with Annex bags and popcorn; David patiently waiting outside whilst trying to dodge the wardens. Traffic was horrendous en route to W+K. Lots of Creatives downstairs who were pleased to see us. Next stop Mustoes – they didn’t know we were coming, but it was a nice a surprise. Grey was around the corner and we all desperately needed the loo, so we all took turns. We were on a mission. Next stop Euro’s....disaster struck outside. David witnessed a truck driving into a tree which damaged everything. He was the only witness so needed to wait and give statements and photo’s . We gave the driver a little taste of our popcorn - the least we could do.
Saatchi’s and TBWA were next – so glad you all enjoyed it. Time was running out and we still had lots to get through. Aaaah. Faster driver faster....
We eventually got to DDB, and ran....Leo’s was next. Back to Soho to finish it off.
It was hammer time at MC Saatchi – what a nice bunch of guys. BBH and Fallon wondered who these crazy people were, but loved it. By the time we got to DLKW – word had spread, they were expecting us. Our mission was done. We spread the Annex love and got some back in return. VCCP...we’re coming now.
